Biography:
Kaigaku is a character from the manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He was formerly a senior disciple of Jigoro Kuwajima, the Thunder Hashira and Zenitsu Agatsuma's master. He trained alongside Zenitsu in the hopes of becoming a Demon Slayer.
Orphaned and driven by a desperate need to survive, Kaigaku demonstrated a pragmatic, albeit ruthless, nature. He stole to survive, rationalizing his actions as necessary for his preservation.
During an encounter with a demon, Kaigaku betrayed Jigoro and his dojo by leading the demon inside, believing it would secure his own safety. This act resulted in Jigoro's eventual seppuku, filled with shame for failing to train him better.
Subsequently, Kaigaku was turned into a demon by Kokushibo, the Upper Rank One demon, becoming an Upper Rank Six demon himself. He utilizes a corrupted form of Thunder Breathing, further twisting the legacy of his former master.
